Counselling in Bayside Melbourne
Compassionate Counselling for Children, Adolescents, Adults & Families
Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted?
Seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family?
Life can feel overwhelming at times. You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional exhaustion, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, grief, trauma, or significant life transitions. At other times, you may simply feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward.
Counselling offers a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgement.
At Mindsight Counselling, I provide counselling for children, adolescents, adults, and families across Melbourne Bayside, including Highett, Sandringham, Bentleigh, Caulfield, Brighton, Cheltenham, Mentone, Hampton, and surrounding areas.
My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and neuroaffirming — supporting each person with compassion, curiosity, and respect for their unique experiences, strengths, and needs.
How Counselling Can Help
Counselling can support people through many emotional, behavioural, and life challenges, including:
Anxiety and overwhelm
Stress and burnout
Emotional regulation difficulties
Autism and ADHD support
Trauma and PTSD
Grief and loss
Parenting challenges
Family and relationship difficulties
School-related stress and school refusal
Social and emotional difficulties
Self-esteem and identity concerns
Separation and family changes
Life transitions and adjustment difficulties
A Safe and Supportive Space
Beginning counselling can feel unfamiliar or vulnerable. My aim is to create a therapeutic space where you feel emotionally safe, accepted, and supported at your own pace.
Every person’s experience is different, and therapy is tailored to meet your individual needs and goals.
Depending on the client, sessions may include:
talk-based counselling
creative and expressive therapies
art therapy
sandplay therapy
mindfulness and grounding strategies
emotional regulation support
attachment-informed approaches
For some people, talking feels comfortable. For others, creative and sensory-based approaches can provide a gentler way to explore emotions and experiences when words feel difficult or overwhelming.
Therapy can help you:
better understand your emotions and experiences
develop healthier coping strategies
strengthen emotional resilience
improve relationships and communication
build confidence and self-awareness
feel more connected, supported, and emotionally grounded
Neuroaffirming & Trauma-Informed Practice
My work is grounded in a neuroaffirming and trauma-informed framework.
I recognise and respect neurodiversity, including autism and ADHD, and support each person in ways that honour their sensory, emotional, communication, and relational needs.
I also understand the impact trauma can have on emotional regulation, relationships, self-worth, and the nervous system. Therapy is approached gently and collaboratively, with emotional safety and trust at the centre of the therapeutic relationship.

Issues I Can Help You With
Counselling for Adults
Adult life can bring ongoing pressures, responsibilities, and emotional challenges that impact wellbeing, relationships, and daily functioning.
Counselling offers space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself in meaningful ways.
Together we may work to:
process difficult emotions and experiences
understand relationship and behavioural patterns
reduce anxiety and emotional overwhelm
strengthen coping strategies
improve self-esteem and emotional wellbeing
navigate change and uncertainty
reconnect with personal values and strengths.
Whether you are facing a specific difficulty or feeling emotionally exhausted and disconnected, counselling can support you towards greater clarity, balance, and resilience.
Counselling for Children
Children often communicate through play, behaviour, creativity, and relationships rather than words alone.
I support children experiencing:
anxiety and worries
emotional outbursts or shutdowns
difficulty expressing emotions
friendship and social challenges
school stress and school refusal
family separation or change
grief and loss
low self-esteem
emotional regulation difficulties
neurodivergent challenges including autism and ADHD
Sessions are developmentally appropriate, engaging, and supportive, helping children feel safe, understood, and empowered.
Creative approaches such as art, sandplay, storytelling, and play-based interventions can support emotional expression, self-awareness, confidence, and emotional regulation.
Parent & Family Support:
Families can experience periods of stress, disconnection, and emotional strain, particularly during times of transition or when supporting children with additional emotional or developmental needs.
stronger communication
emotional understanding
attachment and connection
emotional regulation within the family
parenting challenges
navigating neurodiversity
family transitions and separation
Parent support sessions can provide practical strategies, emotional support, and a space for reflection and guidance.
