Why Choose Mindsight Counselling?
I understand how hard it can be when you're struggling. I've experienced my own challenges in life and know firsthand the benefits of therapy.
My migration to Australia as a young girl left me feeling lost, alone, insecure and overwhelmed with grief for my home country. Later, in my 30s, I became a single mother and the sole parent for my three children. During this time I started professional counselling for myself and found creative therapies extremely helpful. I could get in touch with my emotions quicker than in talk therapy, and therefore I was able to make better decisions about how I wanted to live my life.
Counselling helped me become a stronger person and inspired me to become a counsellor. I decided that I wanted to help others as I had been helped.
I have been in private practice since 2006, and work in the community and various organisations as an art therapist. I am a well-informed counsellor and empathic listener. I treat all people with respect and acceptance, and provide a safe and welcoming space for you to be heard.
I have particular expertise in supporting neurodivergent individuals and those navigating the unique challenges that women face throughout their lives. My approach is affirming, person-centred, and tailored to your individual needs and goals.
